"Space,Time,and Deity" by Samuel Alexander
..
Philosophy attempts to identify the generic and specific features of whatever exists.
.
The ultimate reality is space-time ;
matter is composed of motions which,in turn,
are made up of point-instants.
.
The categories of being are fundamental properties of space-time ;
the major categories are identity,existence,relation,and order.
.
Matter,life,and consciousness are as real as the universal features of reality ;
they are emergent qualities of the space-time reality.
.
Deity is the highest order of being,
the principle of evolution,
the mind of the world.
